So even though I have yet to make a mother's day post (sorry mom and grandmas :))...I want to post a quick shout out to my dad from Israel! I sent a text and a called real quick this morning, but you can never say it enough. :) Happy Father's Day to the best dad in the world! The card I picked out and left behind for him said something along the lines of him being so amazing that even if he wasn't my Dad, I would want him to be. Couldn't have said it better myself! Love you, Dad!

Hi from Israel
Hi!!!!
As most of you who read this blog know, Rob and I are in Israel right now! We have spent the past few days in Tel Aviv and just checked into our hotel in Jerusalem after a day of sightseeing. I thought I would post a few pictures from our trip so far. It has been AMAZING...such a different, incredible world over here. Rob and I are loving every second (well, almost every second. :) Sometimes our guide gets a little long winded in front of a random mural on the street....but besides that!)
When we first got to Israel we went to a nature reserve. They are currently in the process of planting trees and returning the land to what it looked like during Jesus' time. If you stepped out in front of the group and just focused on the land, you could really picture it. I loved it. :)
If you really look at the pic you can see some of the huts they have constructed. When you go they give you the option of planting a tree in a part of the park they are developing so you can "forever grow in Israel." Robby thought it was kind of silly, but I thought it was kind of neat! Here we are leaving our mark in Israel!
Next we went out to lunch...there is SO much food here! Oh my goodness. Here is just a picture of the set up for appetizers. :)
Our hotel was right on the Mediterranean! It was the SOFTEST sand I have ever walked in. We were trying to decide if it felt more like flour or powdered sugar. I think all the others in the group and I came to the consensus it was powdered sugar. It was amazing...and if not for the occasional piece of trash, it was really clean and free of rocks, shells, etc.
The view from our room...
Dipping our feet in the Mediterranean Sea together!
A beer on the beach as we watched the sunset....amazing.
Frozen yogurt is good all over the world!
Independence Hall...we saw a great presentation here.
Fresh fruit and flower market...I would love to go some place like this every day!
I know we have only been here a few days, but this was by far our favorite meal so far. From the appetizers to the main course to the desert...it was SO good. I took lots of pictures of the food!
My favorite part of the meal, homemade cannelloni. It was HEAVENLY. Fresh homemade noodles, fresh mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes....it melted in my mouth.
Outside our new favorite restaurant :)
We did and saw lots in Jerusalem today, but am running low on time so for now I'll just share a picture from the Western Wall then share more pics from the city later! Hope everyone is doing well! Miss you all! :)
